Kansas City Public Schools Continues to Support Families During COVID-19

Today, we stand #Together4MOKids! The Kansas City Public Schools district has been working hard to support families. During the year Parents as Teachers not only support families with home visits but offer numerous community events and are always finding ways to connect with families throughout the Kansas City area. Some other supports KCPS PAT provides to its community include:

-teen parent support group connections
-parenting information shared on local media networks
-joining in Missouri Child Advocacy Day each year
-participating in Success by Six
-offering supportive care PAT meetings to the community
-offering developmental screening at the local library
-hosting baby showers for expectant moms in need
And the list goes on and on…

Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, KCPS PAT has been sending out support packets to families and offering Virtual Home Visits. As Parents as Teachers programs across Missouri work together to provide support to families in our community during this time, be proud of the work that you are doing as an integral part of your family’s social support network. It is new to all of us and together we are continuing the vision of the Parents As Teachers program by providing families with the information and resources to ensure that all children will learn, grow, and develop to realize their full potential.

Thank you KCPS PAT program you are making an amazing impact in your area!
